Seashore Farmers’ Lodge

Yesterday’s recap…

While the museum was open showcasing all the exhibits, volunteers came together to reenact the march of the 54th Massachusetts Regiment Co I.  Men and women were dressed in period clothing to illustrate the historic events from the Civil War that preceded the Battle of Ft. Wagner (c. 1863).  They marched down Old Sol Legare Rd on James Island real estate and boarded a boat to Morris Island where the ceremony commenced.  If you missed all the festivities at The Seashore Farmers’ Lodge Museum & Cultural Center, then here are a few pix of the event.
